Gunn Report gives Net#work BBDO top position in SA

The annual global yardstick publication for the advertising industry, the Gunn Report, has ranked the BBDO group as number two (one up from last year), with the SA member, Net#work BBDO, the only local agency to make it into the worldwide top 50 for the second consecutive year.

Among the 77 BBDO member agencies it was placed fourth. The multi-award winning Virgin Atlantic TV commercial 'Love Story' earned Net#work a place in the top 50 and the agency was placed at number 12 for its Virgin 'in-flight poster campaign in the print category.

"Awards are definitely not our raison d'etre, but they are an important benchmark indicator as to whether we are producing work for our clients that is in line with the world's best, commented executive creative director Julian Watt. "Winning awards is also a magnet for talent, and the better the talent, the better the work."
