Updated schedule for IAS Masterclass programmes in Johannesburg and Cape Town

An updated schedule of the second round of Masterclass programmes in Johannesburg and Cape Town has been released. The purpose behind these classes, which are free to Independent Agency Search & Selection Company (IAS) subscribers, is to provide agencies with cutting edge information and training on industry related topics within the advertising and marketing industry.
Updated schedule for IAS Masterclass programmes in Johannesburg and Cape Town

Johannesburg's topic will be 'Winning new business', facilitated by Johanna McDowell, MD of IAS. The panel will include Nivea marketing director Laurens van den Berg, Edgars and Boardmans marketing executive Belinda Godfrey and National Youth Development Agency executive manager Linda Dlova. It will be held on 23 August 2012.

    'Agency client service mastery'

Also in Johannesburg, on 26 September, the Masterclass will address 'Agency client service mastery' and will be run by independent consultant Nikki Munsie. Munsie will also run the 'Brand Managers and agency familiarisation' Masterclass in Cape Town, the dates of which still need to be set.

Paul Phillips the AAR UK group managing director will facilitate the final two Masterclasses for 2012. The afternoon of 29 October, Phillips will facilitate the 'Magic of Chemistry' in Johannesburg and again on morning of 30 October, before flying back to Cape Town to host a surgery dinner for agencies. On the morning of 31 October he will facilitate his last 'Magic of Chemistry class in Cape Town for clients', before flying back to the UK.

The Johannesburg programme will take place at the Institute of Directors Southern Africa in Sandton. The Cape Town venue will be advised later.

"Sharpening ones knowledge is key for managing client and agency relationships," says McDowell. "The goal of the programmes is to ensure that there are industry experts who can impart strategic information and interventions that will assist in the maintenance of these relationships. " concludes McDowell
