YoungGuns Awards - Call for entries

YoungGuns International Advertising & Design Award is a platform for young advertising & design professionals and students, to compete and showcase their work, and ultimately promote a cycle of young, fresh ideas. Entry is restricted to those aged under 30 years, though teams with an individual over 30 may enter.

For the Advertising Award, there are 15 divisions, each sub-divided into a variety of categories (53 in total). These are listed in detail in the Divisions/Categories section.

From each category a Gold, Silver and Bronze Bullet may be awarded to the most outstanding entries. From all entries, the best overall piece in advertising will be awarded the 'YoungGun Creative of the Year' trophy and US$5,000 each to help the winner forge forward. The winning creative/s will also have the honour of sitting on the 2003 YoungGuns Jury, to help keep the youthful energy flowing.

The 'Bottom Drawer' division has no categories as it is for those great ideas that did not make it past pitch. Therefore it is judged upon the idea. The winner will not receive a trophy, but a Sony Playstation 2 kit & US$1,000.

The Award Night & Ceremony will be on Friday October 18th, 2002 with entries accepted from June 1 - August 30, 2002.

YoungGuns, whilst providing a competitive forum for young professionals, also recognises the need for proper training and education within the industry.

YoungGuns' entry fees have been kept at a lower level than all other major international awards. This is to keep the award accessible to young advertising & design professionals. It will increase the chance of your agency/company entering your work and allows you to enter out of your own pocket if necessary.
