Individuals brand Hansa

Hansa Pilsener's new advert is the fifth in a series with provocative lines such as "I Hate Hansa" and "I Hate being Black/White" and is a campaign about individuality, about judging others on who they are - not on some preconceived stereotype.

The latest ad sees Hlomla Dandala sporting a neat, short hairdo, boldly stating "I hate being famous". Hlomla is a down-to-earth reverend's son who happens to be in the entertainment industry. Made famous as the dreadlocked mine manager in Isidingo, he is currently starring in the third series of television's popular "Gaz'lam".

Hlomla's bold statement against fame is a re-affirmation of his unique individuality. Celebrities are often perceived to be public property and packaged for mass public appeal. Hlomla's endorsement of Hansa Pilsener, a brand which celebrates individuality, reveals the true character of this successful young man who has values which are comparable to the brand.

"We believe that Hlomla Dandala represents an icon of true individuality like Hansa Pilsener. He is a young, sophisticated and self-assured individual who remains unaffected by his celebrity status. The closing line "I love being me" strongly reflects his personality and sense of self," says Tamzin Lovell, Hansa Pilsener Brand Manager.
