Adidas named Advertiser of the Year at 2004 One Show

NEW YORK - The One Club has chosen Adidas as Advertiser of the Year at The One Show 2004. This is the second year that the One Show has singled out an advertiser for outstanding work in a variety of media. Last year it was awarded to Mini USA.

Adidas was honored for work which ran worldwide across all media: print, outdoor, TV and interactive. Last year they created ads including "Wake Up Call," a spot that ran in the US and China and showed the Chinese soccer team performing synchronized feats with soccer balls as the American team watched. The tagline: "Forever sport".

Aside from two Merit finalists earned in One Show Interactive, all of the Adidas work honored this year came from Adidas' global advertising partner, 180/TBWA, the alliance between independent Amsterdam-based agency 180 and TBWA Worldwide. Adidas won One Show and One Show Design Pencils for magazine, outdoor, TV, poster and collateral work, as well as an award in the One Show`s new innovative marketing category.
