    2008/9 Creative Circle exco announced

Creative Circle chairman Rob McLennan has announced the members of his executive committee for the 2008/9 term. This committee comprises creative directors representing the Creative Circle's member agencies, as well as representatives from The Loerie Awards committee, Think and Café.

McLennan commented that he was thrilled with the ‘new blood': “I'm also very pleased that 14 agencies are represented on the exco. That's probably some kind of record for us; historically the number of agencies committing themselves to working on behalf of the industry in this manner has been far less.

“I'm certain that this spread will ensure we receive broad and relevant input and that, coupled with our new blood, will infuse the exco with a revitalised energy and enthusiasm for the tasks that lie ahead of us,” he said.

Nine exco members were elected following a survey ranking the top 30 creative directors working in member agencies; a further five were nominated by the chairman.

    The full executive committee is:

    • Ahmed Tilly, Black River FC
    • Alistair King, KingJames
    • Gerry Human, Ogilvy
    • Julian Watt, Net#work BBDO
    • Matthew Bull, Lowe Bull
    • Mike Schalit, Net#work BBDO
    • Melusi Tshabalala, Y&R SA
    • Molefi Thulo, Draftfcb
