TBWA Joburg flies with Nationwide

TBWA\Hunt\Lascaris Johannesburg has been awarded the Nationwide Airlines account on the basis of the agency’s theory of \Disruption. This was announced yesterday, Wednesday, 9 May 2007, following a meeting of the two companies finalising their relationship and plans to take the Nationwide Brand to its next level.

Nationwide has tasked TBWA\Hunt\Lascaris Johannesburg to create a through-the-line campaign to rejuvenate and take the brand forward. This will cover new look above-the-line campaigns supported by below-the-line, interactive and digital components.

Charmaine Thomé, manager: sales and marketing, from Nationwide says, “It is time to change our approach to think outside the box and to take Nationwide forward in order to achieve its full potential. TBWA\Hunt\Lascaris Johannesburg has already demonstrated that they are the right partners to assist us in turning this brand around and finding that something that will connect us with our consumers.”

TBWA\Hunt\Lascaris Johannesburg kicked off the partnership with Nationwide by engaging in a \Disruption workshop, a brand philosophy employed by TBWA\ Worldwide where all disciplines in the agency collaborate with the client to appreciate the different contexts, to generate a brief for the brand’s direction and to produce the ‘Big Idea’. \Disruption also helps companies to assess a brand in terms of market, global, consumer and cultural contexts.
