New York Festivals, which launched the Torch Awards in 2014 to champion young creative talent, has announced the finalists for the Inclusive Design Challenge, being held in New York on 18 May 2016. For the 2016 Torch Awards, New York Festivals collaborated with The Institute for Human Centered Design (IHCD).
Finalists announced for Inclusive Design Challenge of NYF Torch Awards

Teams from Japan, the Philippines, South Korea and the US will present their creative concept for a digital media showcase that presents the inclusive design progress and success stories. The winning showcase will become a permanent fixture in the showroom of the IHCD headquarters in Boston, Massachusetts.

The competition encourages creatives from the ages of 18-25 to take part in a unique competition that explores a creative challenge and offers mentor training on how to pitch their idea.

The teams will each have 10 minutes to present their idea to an exclusive jury panel, including representatives from IHCD and members of NYF’s 2016 Executive Jury. The 2016 Grand Winning Team will be announced live from stage on 19 May at the 2016 New York Show, during the awards ceremony.
