Ireland / Davenport gets BMW below-the-line

BMW has recently decided to consolidate their advertising business by awarding their below-the-line advertising account to their incumbent above-the-line agency, Ireland / Davenport. The young agency has successfully managed the above-the-line advertising for BMW since being awarded the business in December 2005.

Comments Ireland /Davenport Managing Director, Sue Ferguson, "We are delighted and very honoured to have been chosen to handle this fantastic piece of business and see it as a great way for us to be able to obtain synergy for the brand throughout the BMW advertising. The below-the-line work will be able to become an effective execution of the above-the-line business and we'll now be able to reach the consumer with a holistic message."

Says Kelly Leishman, BMW Brand Management GM: "Having cultivated a very successful business relationship with Ireland /Davenport on the above-the-line business, it made complete sense for us to consolidate our advertising with them and, in that way, be able to strategically plan for our advertising as a whole and maintain the same high standard of advertising throughout."
