2.3GHz spectrum licence to be auctioned this week
This week will see the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) begin the actual auctioning of the 2.3GHz spectrum licence between two pre-qualified bidders for the provision of wholesales broadband service in Nigeria.
Globacom Limited and Bitflux Communications Limited are the two final bidders after Zinox Telecommunications, Airtel Nigeria, MTN, Etisalat and Spectranet declined to participate in the auction. The minimum reserved price for the auction is reported to be $23 million.
