PINless prepaid airtime takes off in Nigeria

Five of the top ten banks in Nigeria have reportedly chosen Clickatell for their PINless airtime distribution. "GT Bank, First Bank, Ecobank, Sterling Bank, and UBA are all switching their airtime strategies to a PINless future and have harnessed our technology, expertise and understanding of the African landscape to tap into the revenue potential of value added services (PINless Prepaid Airtime)," says Samson Isa, Clickatell director of West Africa.
GT Bank, which sells PINless airtime via its mobile app, has already been responsible for the fastest growing PINless sales in Nigeria.
PINless Airtime enables real-time top up of prepaid mobile airtime at the point of sale without the need for PINs or printed vouchers.
