Alcatel-Lucent promotes Moroccan education through ICTs
Promoting innovation, and the use of new information and communications technologies in education, this agreement aims to make Alcatel-Lucent collaboration platforms available to a large number of Moroccan universities and schools free of charge.
According to the agreement, Alcatel-Lucent Morocco will make available an integrated collaboration solution platform, the Alcatel-Lucent Extended Communication Server. This platform offers an extended portfolio of communication and collaboration services, including virtual office with email access, contacts management, file sharing, intranet and internet connection as well as IP telephony due to the interconnection with the Alcatel-Lucent OmniPCX Office.
Through the “Dynamic Knowledge for Education” program, the MENESFCRS wants to support collaborative and innovative projects around web technologies and Web 2.0. The systems made available under this initiative which includes an “open source” environment, provides new possibilities in sofware production and the spread of ICT, a growth sector.
