A surge of new business for VWV

January is traditionally a quiet month for most businesses, but not so for marketing and experiential communications agency VWV, where creative teams have pulled in eight new assignments.

With seven different operating divisions, the company is well equipped to provide clients with a host of services, ranging from TV commercials to conference presentations, FMCG promotions and large-scale event management. That, coupled with its award-winning approach to experiential marketing, as well as its careful selection of uniquely creative, capable and professional staff, puts the agency in a position to break new creative ground in 2003.

New VWV wins include:

1. Telkom: VWV has been appointed to conceptualise, implement and manage two separate conferences for Telkom.

2. Department of Marketing & Tourism, City of Johannesburg: VWV has been commissioned to script, interview and produce a video celebrating the development of cricket in Gauteng for the Cricket World Cup dignitaries.

3. LG Electronics: VWV will manage and stage the LG Electronics VIP event celebrating the opening of the Cricket World Cup in Cape Town, as well as the reveal of the huge LG cricket bat, which will be touring the country for the duration of the World Cup.

4. Microsoft: Continuing the relationship between the two companies VWV has been awarded the Microsoft 10th anniversary gala dinner to celebrate 10 years of operation in South Africa with top government officials and captains of industry.

5. Cell C: The VWV Group’s interactive team has secured the re-design and development of Cell C’s Web site, which aims to encourage more interaction with users.

6. Eskom: The re-design and development of Eskom’s internal staff intranet - Eskom Generations - has been awarded to the VWV Group.

7. Standard Bank: VWV conceptualised and implemented the hugely successful motivational road show, spanning 10 regions, to Standard Bank management. A total of 2 000 key personnel were exposed to the presentation over a two week period.
