This course is a hands-on course given by Christine Anderssen of Tailormade4you to assist start-up webmasters, business owners or anyone interested in learning the shortest-cut way to building a professional looking website.

Christine Anderssen has been building websites for four years making use of OpenSource (i.e. free) content management system (CMS) tools. A CMS tool is the quickest way to get a website online, but most of them are difficult to learn how to use.

The CMS tool that will be used in this training course is easy to learn how to use.

The purpose of the course is therefore not to teach graphic design, or how to use HTML, Dreamweaver or any of the popular web design tools.

The purpose of the course is to teach people how to quickly get a full-fledged website (not a mini-site) online with the minimum amount of effort and learning curve.

The course agenda is:
- Internet overview: web hosting concepts, web design principles
- Essential tools for working on the internet: FTP tools, image editing tools, CMS tool that will be used to build your site
- How to install the basic website on your web hosting server
- How to quikcly change the look and feel of your site with templates. How to modify templates to make them unique
- Populating your website with content, including working with images
- Advanced techniques: adding an image gallery, adding a blog, adding an event calendar, SEO considerations

This is a fully hands-on, interactive course and you will be building your website through the day as the course progresses.
