Has it benefited anyone - Malawi: Kwacha devaluation causes panic
I remember sometime back Gregory wrote a story of the same effect where the Malawian President Mutharika was adamant that he wont float the Kwacha because afew individuals will benefit from the move. Now that Gregory is telling us again that they have devalued it, what now happens? Did the holding on to the currency benefit anyone at all? Politicians are funny creatures indeed, it is unfortunate they mix wrongly, their politics and ecomonics.Posted on 21 Nov 2009 09:29

SEWING MACHINE FOR MY MOM - Annual Christmas Wish launches
My Christmas wish is for my Mommy to have a small Sewing Business as she is a single mom and has been struggling alot raising three sons by herself, she enjoys sewing but has never had the money to buy a machine, she works a 8-5 job but is not very well and I do not think she will be able to work much longer standing all day, If KFM could help us in any way it would really be appreciated..... It would also help her if she could start a sewing business as it would help to bring in money for me to further my studies.

If you do call, please call between 3pm and 7pm as I am in school during the day. The number is 0825837387.

Thank You so Much:)

Brilliant -  [OrnicoAd]
I thought this Ad was fantastic and shows exactly what happens when one has an alcoholic parent. Its the reason some of us dread ama-graduation parties and the like. I think I sends a very clear and strong message.Posted on 20 Nov 2009 14:00

Outdoor advertising could help
Why the problem - Outdoor advertising battles for recognition
I do not see the problem with adverting on a property were you do not trade. If you as the owner allows a company to advertise then so be it.

It will create extra revenue streams into the SA market and allow for growth.

Obviously there need to rules and regulations to a certain extend and were it may to done, but being totally against it is just very narrow minded. You also need to make sure that the content is not harmful to the public and the cities image.

I feel that it cities need to be open to new ideas of creating potential revenue, and if a company like Vodacom or FNB want to spend R1 million on out door adverting why not.

Think about the the impact the R1 million will have on the economy going forward. there will be many people benefiting from that not only the adverting company and Vodacom or FNB.

We need to be looking at more innovative ways of increasing revenue at times like this and government is always preaching how we need to look at new ways to overcome our financial crisis, but they always seem to stop good things.Posted on 20 Nov 2009 13:23
Classic -  [OrnicoAd]
I really dig this ad - it's tremendously executed and it's quite energetic whilst retaining the compulsory weighty feel.

Just a really cool piece of communication.Posted on 20 Nov 2009 12:50
