Trapsuutjies is a new show that's due to air on 7th July on Kyknet at 18h00. Presented by Philicity Reeken and Natalie Wood, the show is about two girls on bikes, pedaling slowly whilst exploring South Africa.
As Natalie says, cycling is becoming the most popular “lifestyle” sport of the century and the fastest growing sport in Southern Africa. As current trends tend toward preventive health care, the attraction of cycling grows. It offers self-paced exercise and exposure to fresh air in our region's favourable climate and revitalizing scenery. It suits and attracts men, women and children of all ethnic backgrounds and fitness levels and is one of the few sports that can be enjoyed wholeheartedly by every family member, including grandparents and the very young!
Natalie says the idea came to her two years ago whilst on holiday with her family, and thinking about how people are trying to adopt a healthier, less stressful lifestyle, but also spend more of the little free time they have with their family. In the show, destinations are chosen for their natural beauty, the activities offered and the history and culture in each area as well as community development programmes.
This twenty-four minute television production ignites viewers' imaginations, transporting them through recreational cycling routes and destinations around Africa in a format that appeals to the whole household.
Proudly sponsored by Ford, Garmin and Ride Magazine, this is a show not to be missed!
