Some of you may not know that
The Loerie Awards, the Oscars of the South African advertising industry, has in fact been running since 1978. The awards have continued to grow each year now encompassing every area of brand communication including radio and print advertising, design, architecture, direct marketing, non-broadcast video, live events, and digital media.
After four years in Margate, KwaZulu-Natal, the Loeries (arguably one of the biggest parties in South Africa) has moved to the Mother City.
HelloComputer is proud to have received 17 finalists which itself is a notable accolade. With the entire industry agog at what to expect, we rushed in to take part in the first Cape Town Award Ceremony at The Good Hope Centre on Saturday 26 September.
